Sunday July 6 (more 4th of July fun)

Sunday we made 4th of July cookies. The boys wanted to decorate their own---it was a lot of fun. Here are some pictures of them working their magic on their yummy cookies.

Emma just being cute right before we left for the cookout!

We went to my grandpa's house for a family cookout that afternoon. The boys love to go there because my grandpa has a pool and a HUGE yard!

They played by the garden, collected golf balls, looked for snakes and chased a rabbit. Laci's boyfriend Josh is one of the boys' favorite people. They had so much fun exploring with him.

The Holsingers had a great 4th of July weekend. We are so happy to have Emma home and to be able to celebrate her first Happy Birthday America. We, as Americans, are so lucky to have the things we have. Of course, we get all worked up over simple things like the price of gas (it is just over $4.00 here in Ohio) and this and that but all in all we are so very lucky. My time in Guatemala was very eye opening...and helped me to be very appreciative of the things we do have. We live in a country that is fair. We have access to health care and education. We are safe....we are so very blessed.
Hope you had a great 4th of July---keep scrolling down to see July 5th and July 4th pictures!

I love to see another American with the same thoughts as me. I dont know how you can travel to any third world country and not come back a changed person. I look at my daughter and think to myself "If this is all we can ever give you, your life is a thousand fold better than it would have been". Glad you all enjoyed your weekend. Susie
